The Luttrell Staffing Management Team

Our management team is comprised of hands-on, experienced staffing experts who are personally involved in our clients’ success.

David Luttrell – Co-Owner

David began working in the staffing industry in 1988 and opened the first Luttrell Staffing office in 1993. He is an active member of the Rogersville community, having previously served as president of the local chamber of commerce and currently serving on the Area Youth Council. David has two grown children.

Marty Luttrell – Co-Owner

A graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Marty joined Luttrell Staffing with David in 1994. Married to his wife, Lana, since 1998, Marty has four children (three girls and a son). Marty’s hobbies and passions include everything from running marathons to leading his weekly Bible study at the Northeast Correctional Center.

Lana Luttrell – Co-Owner, CEO (Certified Woman-Owned Companies)

A native-born Russian, Lana (Svetlana) is a graduate of St. Petersburg State Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture who came to the United States to pursue a carrier in architecture. Lana is married to Marty Luttrell and has two daughters. Along with David Luttrell, she purchased several Kentucky branches, then known as Quality Personnel service, as a certified woman-owned business in 2014. Lana is majority owner and CEO of Luttrell Staffing Group’s woman-owned companies.

Mary Wagner – President, Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Mary joined the Luttrell Staffing team in 1996 as a part-time office assistant in Castlewood, VA. After working several positions in two other Virginia offices (Lebanon & Abingdon), she eventually moved to Johnson City, TN, becoming Branch Manager in 2007. From there, Mary’s career trajectory includes stints as District Manager (Johnson City, Greeneville, and Morristown) in 2014, Strategic Business Development Manager in 2016, and her current role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) since January 2017. She currently serves on the Tennessee State Council for the American Staffing Association. Mary is passionate about helping our clients and branches find solutions to the unique challenges they face.

Monica Shuffett – Vice-President (Certified Woman-Owned Companies)

Monica Shuffett is Vice President of Luttrell Staffing Group’s certified woman-owned (WBENC) Kentucky branches as well as our middle Tennessee branches. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration / Management degree from Lindsey Wilson College and is an ASA Certified Staffing Professional (CSP). Shuffett’s staffing career began in 1997 when she joined then-Quality Personnel’s Columbia, Kentucky office as a branch manager. Her duties expanded to include the role of marketing coordinator, where she assisted the company’s six branches with recruiting, marketing, and overall company branding. Shuffett was promoted to VP of the WBENC Kentucky and Middle Tennessee Branches in 2021.

Rob Hall – Chief Technology Officer

Rob has been working as an IT professional for over 20 years, holding professional level certifications from industry leaders such as Cisco and Citrix. Since joining the Luttrell Staffing Group team as IT Manager in 2006, he has worked tirelessly to build an enterprise class infrastructure and an effective support team. Rob currently serves as Luttrell Staffing Group’s Chief Technology Officer, leading the technological vision for the company. Rob has one son, who is currently serving in the United States Navy, and enjoys travelling the country competing in action shooting sports.

Samantha Cupp – Director Of Training & Development

Samantha Cupp has demonstrated steadfast dedication and professional growth since joining our organization in 1998. Over the course of her tenure, she has seamlessly transitioned through various roles, contributing significantly to both the support of front-line staff and the intricate workings of our company’s infrastructure. Currently at the helm of the Training and Development department, Samantha assumes a leadership role with a commitment to nurturing our internal staff members. Her focus lies in cultivating a workplace environment where the value of individuals is front and center, ensuring that our team continues to prioritize the importance of people above all else.

Melissa Van Huss – Director Of Finance

Melissa graduated from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting in 2004. She then worked as an auditor for a regional public accounting firm for 7 years, gaining experience in audits of employee benefit plans, for-profits and nonprofits. She earned the certified public accountant (CPA) designation in 2008. Melissa served in accounting management positions for several years before beginning her career with Luttrell Staffing Group in June 2020. She considers it especially rewarding to lead accounting teams, implement process improvements and strengthen the dynamic between operations and finance. She has been married to her husband, Brad, since 2005, and they are blessed with one son, Brady. Melissa enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching her son play sports and actively serving at her church.

Kim Holden – Director Of Business Development

After joining our company in 2007 as a staffing manager, Kim moved to business development in 2009, successfully handling accounts from Abingdon to Morristown for more than a decade. She is passionate about serving other people and working toward building strong partnerships with our clients. Kim has a BS in Organizational Management along with an AS in Small Business Management.

Tina Leonard – Regional Director

Tina started working as a Staffing Manager in the Bristol, Tennessee office not long after it opened in 1996. She served as Bristol’s Branch Manager from 1999 until 2005, when she took on the role of Regional Director for Luttrell Staffing Group’s branches in Southwest Virginia and Bristol, Tennessee. Tina loves spending time with her family and has a true passion for helping others.

Michelle Lawson – Regional Director

Michelle has been working with Luttrell Staffing Group since February 2012, when she started as a staffing coordinator. After roles as staffing manager and senior staffing manager, she was promoted to branch manager for the company’s Rogersville, Tennessee location in 2017. Promotions to district manager (Duffield & Rogersville) and then regional director came in 2019 and 2022. Michelle current serves as secretary for the Hawkins County Professionals Association and as a member of the Scott County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. On a personal note, Michelle enjoys working with her church on local and home missions and has been on several foreign missions to Mt Vernon, Jamaica.

Diana Lara-Chavez – Regional Director

Diana joined Luttrell Staffing Group in 2019 as a Branch Manager, a role she served in for several years earning the esteemed Branch Manager of the Year award. Recently, Diana has stepped into the role of Regional Director to oversee operations for a number of branches in TN, GA, IL and CA.

Kerry Stanley – Director of Safety

A graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, Kerry joined Luttrell Staffing Group in 2006 as a Staffing Coordinator in Johnson City, TN. Kerry has since served in the roles of Remote Recruiter, Staffing Manager, Branch Manager, HR Assistant and Safety Claims Manager before transitioning into her current role as Director of Safety.

Daina Flora – Human Resources Manager

Daina began her journey with Luttrell Staffing Group in July of 2020 as a Compliance Specialist. Through her work in the realm of compliance, Daina grew into her role of HR Manager where she now serves to oversee the legal sector of the business while managing a team of individuals who drive Luttrell’s compliance.
