Our management team is comprised of hands-on, experienced staffing experts who are personally involved in our clients’ success.
David Luttrell – President, Co-Owner
David began working in the staffing industry in 1988 and opened the first Luttrell Staffing office in 1993. He is an active member of the Rogersville community, having previously served as president of the local chamber of commerce and currently serving on the Area Youth Council. David has two grown children.
Marty Luttrell – Vice President, Co-Owner
A graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Marty joined Luttrell Staffing with David in 1994. Married to his wife, Lana, since 1998, Marty has four children (three girls and a son). Marty’s hobbies and passions include everything from running marathons to leading his weekly Bible study at the Northeast Correctional Center.
Mary Wagner – Vice-President of Operations
Mary joined the Luttrell Staffing team in 1996 as a part-time office assistant in Castlewood, VA. After working several positions in two other Virginia offices (Lebanon & Abingdon), she eventually moved to Johnson City, TN, becoming Branch Manager in 2007. From there, Mary’s career trajectory includes stints as District Manager (Johnson City, Greeneville, and Morristown) in 2014, Strategic Business Development Manager in 2016, and her current role of Vice President of Operations since January 2017. She currently serves on the Tennessee State Council for the American Staffing Association. Mary is passionate about helping our clients and branches find solutions to the unique challenges they face.
Randy Sharrow – Chief Financial Officer
Randy Sharrow is a strategic Financial Executive with over 28 years experience and expertise in establishing Finance & Treasury Operations. A collaborative leader who drives operational efficiency and tackles complex problems to consistently deliver quantifiable results, Randy is known for bringing stability to an organization by providing strategic decisions to recognize and resolve complex issues. Randy has held executive financial positions, including CFO and Treasurer, with companies in Healthcare, Life Sciences, Automotive, Textiles & Apparel and the Staffing industry with a proven record of success. Randy graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Business Administration.
Samantha Cupp – Director of IT Support
Samantha began her Luttrell Staffing career as a Staffing Manager in August of 1998, eventually moving up the ranks from there. After wearing dual hats of Rogersville Branch Manager and Risk Control Manager for several years, Samantha was promoted to Regional Manager in 2009. Throughout her Luttrell Staffing career, she has always played an integral role in IT and system support, eventually assuming the role of Director in 2015. Samantha attended ETSU and Walter State Community College to acquire a degree in computer science. Married to her husband, Mike, since 1997, Samantha has two boys. She enjoys the outdoors, biking and running.
Tammy Thompson – Director of Human Resources
After a 14-year stint with Carolina Assemblies in Myrtle Beach, SC, where Tammy worked her way from electronics assembler to HR/Safety Administrator, Tammy became one of the Rogersville, TN office’s first staff members in 1995. After working her way up from Recruiter to Branch Manager and finally to VicePresident of Operations, Tammy and her husband, Ray, felt the call to leave for a four-year mission trip to China in 2009. She returned to us in 2013 as HR/Administration Manager. Tammy is a member of the Hawkins County Personnel Association, the National Association of Professional Women, and SHRM.
Bill Morrell – Director of Safety
Bill’s over 25 years in materials management & safety prior to coming to Luttrell Staffing in 2005 includes six projects in three states for Fluor Daniel Construction Company as well as a 15-year career with XPEDX, an international paper company which brought him to the East TN area in 1997 via transfer from Augusta, GA. Bill graduated from Milligan College in 1978 with a major in business administration and a minor in human relations. He and his wife, Desi, have been married for almost 30 years and have two grown children.
Scott Morefield – Director of Marketing
Scott started with Luttrell Staffing as a Staffing Manager in 1999, eventually taking over the Bristol, TN office as Branch Manager in 2005. After almost a decade, he assumed the role of Director of Marketing in October of 2014. Scott regularly contributes industry-related articles to Luttrell Staffing’s company blog as well as the staffing industry websites Staffing Talk and The Fordyce Letter. On nights and weekends, he’s also a reporter at The Daily Caller as well as an opinion columnist at Townhall. Scott’s op-eds have also been featured on The Hill, Fox Nation, Breitbart, National Review, TheBlaze, The Federalist, WND, and many others. Scott holds a bachelor’s degree in human resources as well as an MBA from East Tennessee State University.
Chelsea Bergland – Regional Manager | Division Director – Luttrell Staffing Professional
The daughter of co-owner Marty Luttrell, Chelsea began working full time seven years ago, eager to get involved in the family business. In 2011, she helped spearhead the expansion of the company into North Georgia with the inception of our Gainesville, GA location, serving as Regional Manager over that territory for several years. Chelsea currently serves as Regional Manager for our Gainesville, Morristown, Greeneville, and Johnson City offices as well as the head of Luttrell Staffing Professional, our direct hire division.
Tina Leonard – Regional Manager
Tina started working as a Staffing Manager in the Bristol, Tennessee office in 1996, not long after it opened. She served as Bristol’s Branch Manager from 1999 until 2005, when she assumed the role of Regional Manager. Tina’s dedication to her staff and her focus on creating client loyalty through providing the best in customer service has helped fundamentally shape Luttrell Staffing’s corporate culture. Married since 1997, Tina has a 9-year old daughter.
Amanda Whaley – Regional Manager
Amanda’s Luttrell Staffing career began in 1997 when she joined the Bristol, TN team as a Staffing Manager. She and her husband, David, moved to Knoxville in 2004, where Amanda opened and managed a new Luttrell Staffing branch, and in 2012, a satellite location in Alcoa. Under her leadership, Knoxville/Alcoa has grown to be one of Luttrell Staffing franchises’ most successful offices. In 2014, Amanda assumed the role of Regional Manager over Luttrell Staffing’s Knoxville, Alcoa, Sevierville, and Dandridge locations. Married since 1996, she and her husband have one daughter.
Kim Trent – Regional Manager
Kim joined the Luttrell Staffing team as a receptionist back in 2003 and has been working her way up ever since. She moved to payroll & staffing in 2004, assisting the Vice President of Operations in her duties until being promoted to Rogersville Branch Manager in 2010. A former Co-Treasurer, Kim remains active in the Hawkins County Personnel Association. When off duty, Kim enjoys serving God through short-term missions, having made five separate trips with her church to Mt. Vernon, Jamaica, to teach Bible school at the Beacon of Hope.
James Thomas – Controller
James has been with the company since October, 2016. He brings experiences to the team that are not often seen together. A proven Controller with 25 years of experience in Accounting/Finance, James is also a Lean/Six Sigma Master Black Belt with 7 years of experience. James has held positions of Controller, Treasurer, Cost Accounting Manager, Cost Accountant, General Accountant and Director of Continuous Improvement. James graduated from ETSU with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He has been married to Traci since 1989, with two grown children.
